Gladstone
Gladstone is situated between the Calliope and Boyne Rivers, north of Brisbane and south-east of Rockhampton. It is the largest town within the Gladstone Region and the location of the headquarters of Gladstone Regional Council. The town is home to Queensland's largest multi-commodity shipping port.
Gladstone has a population of 6,640. The median age of the population is 35 years. Kids under 14 years made up 22.6% of the population.
The Port Curtis Coral Coast People comprise four Traditional Owner groups; Gooreng Gooreng, Gurang, Bailai and Bunda. Toolooa and Gurang Aboriginal languages are spoken in the Gladstone region.
